Hot Food

We like to offer choice and although this can be served formally, it is better suited to more informal buffet style functions. In any gathering of people there will be a variety of culinary requirements and preferences and it is important there is something for everyone.

We specialise in traditional homemade dishes that are universally popular. In my view there is nothing better than a beautifully cooked beef bourguignon, a chicken tagine with the tastiest cuts of meat or fish pie with fresh salmon, cod loin and smoked haddock.

We don’t have set menus, so you are welcome to choose the dishes you require and we’ll quote accordingly.

For functions above fifty people, we would offer three hot dishes plus a vegetarian option if required and three desserts. We can offer more or less if you prefer, but we generally find this works well.

Vegetarians.

This is an area that is often neglected by many caterers and it can become a bit of an after thought and the offering can be quite limited to pizza or a vegetable lasagne. I enjoy doing vegetarian food and done well, vegetarian food is very tasty. Although I make a vegetable lasagne that is very popular I like to offer a lot more variety. eg, Mushroom,Pesto and Spinach Lasagne, Vegetable Curry,Vegetable Bean Bake to name a few.

Gluten Free.

If you have any coeliac guests we are happy to provide gluten free options. In fact many of our dishes can be made with gluten free ingredients without this affecting the quality of our food.

Service.

Our food can be provided with or without service. Service means that we will arrive about an hour to 45 minutes prior to eating. Our staff will set up, serve, clear away and wash up leaving you free to relax and enjoy the event. Any remaining food will be left for you.

We can just drop the food off for you. In this case the utensils and serving dishes will need to be returned or collected from you the following day.

China and Cutlery etc.

All china and cutlery can be provided if required together with water boilers for the tea and coffee.

Serviettes are provided.

We provide table cloths for the buffet table, however we do not provide table cloths for any guest tables due to the varying colour and style requirements. These can be provided by a local hire company.

Detail.

If you book us for your function we would be happy to come to the venue to discuss the operational detail. Normally, we would require a table/s, which we can provide if necessary and access to an electrical point in close proximity.
