Hog Roasts……….. Aren’t they all the Same. Well, this one certainly isn’t. !

 

Hog Roasts .............  isn’t it just cooking a pig. ?


We at Pamela Cheshire Caterers don’t agree.

 

Of course many people can cook a pig, but like all food not everyone can do it well.

 

Whatever function you are hosting the food will always be remembered and talked about and there is nothing worse that it being remembered for the food not being up to scratch or in the worst case, running out of food.

 

Veterans of over 200 hog roasts our hog roast chefs are skilled at perfect crackling and moist succulent pork. To this end we never deliver cooked meat, we never part cook and we never keep meat warm in a bain marie. As you know dry meat is not particularly appertising.!

 

Our free range British hogs are fully cooked on site with a chef in attendance at all times. There is always plenty of meat, some for seconds and we’ll even leave you the carcass if you wish.

 

Of course it’s not just the pork and cracking that makes a perfect hog roast. The quality of the accompaniments are just as important. We offer three delicious homemade salads with all our hog roasts, all made fresh on the day and we never cut corners.

 

We make our apple sauce with the Bramleys from our orchard and the stuffing is always served hot.

 

In any gathering you may have vegetarians, guests that don’t eat pork and a guests with a variety of other dietary requirements. As a full service catering company we can offer all your guests delicious alternatives that compliment the hog roast salads. For the vegetarians, not just the standard vegetable lasagne, but a Fennel,Leek and Celery Bake or our popular Mushroom, Spinach, Tomato and Basil Lasagne .

 

As you research hog roast suppliers you’ll realise you’ll have plenty of options and types of service available. There will also be varying costs and we won’t be the cheapest you’ll find. Of course I could reduce my prices by buying things in like coleslaw and apple sauce or by reducing the labour cost by part cooking off site. But the simple fact is that I would be cutting corners and not providing the quality of service we are capable of and furthermore we are makers of food not resellers of other peoples’ food.

 

Budgets are important but you’ll have one chance to get it right.

There are a couple of important points to be aware of, that may occur at your party. 


........You may be talking to your guests and all of a sudden they seem distracted and not with you for a few seconds....... Don't worry the aroma of pork has just reached them....!


!....... Should any of your guests go missing during the party..........   you'll find them in some darkened corner with a plate of crackling.

This year we have just passed a total of 200 hog roasts. In that time we have never run out of meat and there has always been some for seconds.


If we ever run out of meat when the hog is served buffet style, we'll refund you completely.
